Actress Lucky Mehta, who plays Suchitra (Suchu) in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, recently shared her experience working on Jaanaki. She revealed that her dedication to the role made a notable impression on veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai.

Lucky Mehta said, “When I bagged the show Jaanaki, my father was critically ill and I had considered stepping away from the project to be with him. When I informed Subhash Sir about my situation, he was very supportive and didn’t want to let me go as he was pretty impressed with the way I portrayed my character. He was like he’ll wait for me to return once I had taken care of my personal commitments no matter how much time it took. Subhash sir believed that I was the only one who could truly do justice to the character and instead of replacing me, he gave me the time and space to cope with everything making sure I come back fully prepared to give my best performance, without any pressure or compromise on the role.”

She further added, “He stood by me like a pillar of strength and gave me the support I needed to manage my personal challenges while staying committed to the role. That kind of empathy and consideration is very rare in our industry.”
