The news spread across the internet like wildfire, and soon enough, condolences began pouring in from across the country. However, there had been no update from the hospital until now. Fortis Hospital has finally issued a statement sharing the details that led to the singer’s passing.
Fortis Hospital issues a statement about Rajvir Jawanda’s demise
Rajvir Jawanda took his last breath at 10:55 am at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. The report of his demise went rife around 11 am on October 8, 2025. However, fans have been waiting for an official statement from Fortis Hospital, and at around 12:30 pm, the hospital finally issued a statement confirming the cause of Rajvir’s death as multiple organ failure.
The doctors had already expressed their concerns about Rajvir Jawanda’s health in the last medical bulletin issued by Fortis. According to the reports, Rajvir’s brain had been getting minimal oxygen, and even the activity in his brain was close to negative. The medical staff had also expressed their concern about Rajvir going into organ failure since there had been no improvement in the past days.
Rajvir Jawanda’s last rites to take place in his native village
Ammy Virk has also talked to the media about Rajvir Jawanda’s last rites as the family mourns the great loss. According to the singer, Rajvir’s mortal remains will be taken to his native village, Pauna near Jagraon, later in the day on October 8, 2025. The singer also shared that the cremation will take place on October 9, 2025. Following the news of his demise, Mohali police have also increased security outside the hospital as fans gather to pay their respects.

It was actress, Neeru Bajwa who shared the news of Rajvir Jawanda’s demise with the fans through her social media account on October 8, 2025, around 11 am. She took to her Instagram handle and penned a heartfelt note mourning the unfortunate loss. She expressed her condolences at the tragic loss of the extremely talented singer. She was quoted as saying:
“Heartbroken by the tragic loss of such a young and promising life. Sending deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of @rajvirjawandaofficial. May you find strength and peace during this unimaginable time. Gone far too soon, but never forgotten.”
About Rajvir Jawanda’s accident
Rajvir’s bike reportedly collided near Baddi on September 27, 2025, where he lost control and his bike crashed. According to varied reports online, Rajvir suffered injuries to the spine as well as the head. His health was closely monitored when he was on the support system. Due to the severity of the injuries, Rajvir was put on life support. The entire industry prayed for the singer’s recovery. However, unfortunately, he passed away on October 8, 2025.
According to reports, it was Rajvir Jawanda’s wife who didn’t want him to leave for the trip. However, Rajvir ignored her pleas and left. Hours later, he met the fatal accident that left his family, friends and fans heartbroken. While fans continuously prayed for the singer to get better, he passed away after 11 days of being admitted to the hospital, ending his journey in the mortal world.
