Yet on the consumer side, a stigma often still exists when it comes to adult toys. Even though celebrities like Christina Aguilera, Lily Allen and Katy Perry have all put their names — and images — behind sex toys, there remains some healthy skepticism into how these devices work — and how they can actually be of benefit.

    That’s why adult toy manufacturers are taking a different marketing approach for the holidays, promoting their devices as must-have tools for physical and metaphorical “connectivity,” and pushing vibrators as pickups for cuffing season.

    One of these manufacturers is We-Vibe, whose recently launched Chorus Pro vibrator comes with a buzzy promise: to help couples re-connect. Since it’s app enabled, the Chorus Pro allows couples to play together or remotely, with the same completely customizable experience no matter the mileage.
