In a recent interview, he recalled an accident that Aishwarya Rai faced on the sets of Aur Pyar Ho Gaya. For the unversed, Aur Pyar Ho Gaya marked the Bollywood debut of Miss World 1994.
Bobby Deol opens up about Aishwarya Rai’s nervousness during Aur Pyar Ho Gaya‘s shooting
In a recent interview with Radio Nasha, Bobby Deol shared memories from his first film with Aishwarya Rai, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. He opened up about the Padma Shri awardee’s nervousness during the shooting of the film, Aur Pyar Ho Gaya. Bobby shared that it was Aishwarya’s first film, so she was a bit anxious. He mentioned that although the actress was nervous, she amazed everyone with her dancing skills. He was quoted as saying:
“No doubt Aishwarya is one of the most beautiful actors in our country, but it was her first film, so she was a little bit nervous, but she is a very talented dancer.”

In the same interview, Bobby shared some unheard BTS moments during their shoot in Switzerland for the film, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. He mentioned that the shooting was challenging due to limited facilities. He added that they had spent 40 days in Switzerland and had to sit on the grass, as there were no chairs available at that time. He also shared how the days in Switzerland were quite boring for him. In his words:
“We were in Switzerland for 40 days aur main pak gaya tha Switzerland se. The whole unit would get on a bus at 7 am in the morning, and we would shoot wherever Rahul (Rawail) stopped the bus. At that time, we didn’t have chairs to sit, but luckily there was grass everywhere, so we would be sitting on the ground. But it was exciting and fun.”
Bobby Deol recalls how Aishwarya Rai got injured during a sequence of Aur Pyar Ho Gaya
Further in the interview, Bobby recalled a shocking incident that took place on the sets of Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. He shared that while shooting a sequence in a hot air balloon, the landing didn’t go as planned. During the rough landing, Aishwarya Rai accidentally hurt her head. However, The Ba***ds of Bollywood star managed to escape unhurt. He mentioned that he had never spoken about this incident before, but thankfully, the Devdas actress was fine after the accident. He was quoted as saying:
“We also shot in a hot air balloon, but the landing got messed up and Aishwarya hurt her head. I somehow got saved. I’ve never talked about this incidence, but luckily she was fine.”
