Winding down from the big crowds and frantic pace of the Cannes Film Festival? Take a deep breath and shift into a new state of mind.

Now is the perfect time to flex your relaxation muscles from the court to the spa. Here are some tips…

    Tennis: Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc
     167-165 Bd J. F. Kennedy, 06160 Antibes, France

An icon of the French Riviera and the Cannes Film Festival, countless celebrities have escaped into the bucolic surroundings of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc over the years when they’ve needed respite. Those who thirst for volley flock to the hotel’s five clay tennis courts adjacent to the rose gardens. Enlist a private session with a coach to help refine your backhand or simply look the part with gear from the Lacoste and Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc capsule collection that blends the two brands’ legendary codes.

    Spa: Dior Spa Eden-Roc
     167-165 Bd J. F. Kennedy, 06160 Antibes, France

Make a day of running away at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc and slip into the Dior Spa Eden-Roc, a beauty-body partnership with the fashion house. The treatments occur in Dior-adorned spa rooms, private gazebo gardens, or cabanas overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Dior developed an exclusive menu for the resort called Dioriginels Rituals, inspired by the garden, sea, cliff, and sun. The Riviera Solar Glow protects and repairs using the Dior Solar line and the Roc Affusion, triggering ultimate relaxation with hydrotherapy.

    Museum: La Malmaison
47 Boulevard de la Croisette 06400 Cannes

Duck into the newly reopened contemporary art museum La Malmaison in a historic Belle Époque villa along the Croisette. La Malmaison is shaking up a new creative renaissance. The renovation created an expanded exhibit space, a rooftop terrace and an art bookstore, helping establish this space as a cultural institution. On view now, discover Jean-Michel Othoniel’s magical “Poussière d’Etoiles,” or “Stardust,” a series of sculptures inspired by nature and resembling monumental pieces of jewelry that create a playful dance between light, material and scale.

    Museum: Picasso
    Place Mariejol, 06600 Antibes, France

The Picasso Museum in Antibes is one of the region’s most spectacular artistic spaces. In 1946, the Grimaldi castle transformed into a studio for the prolific Spanish master. Within its walls, he created 23 paintings and 44 drawings in only two months, many of which became very famous. Two years later, he gave 78 ceramics to the collection made in Vallauris. The collection has since expanded to include other artists from the 20th and 21st centuries, significant to the region.

    Pool Club: Club Dauphin
71 Bd du Général de Gaulle, 06230 Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat

With 17 acres of gardens featuring panoramic views of the Mediterranean, The Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat is an idyllic place to switch off your phone and soak in the sun. The seaside retreat, at the very tip of the peninsula of Cap-Ferrat, is home to Club Dauphin, an Olympic heated seawater swimming pool and club accessible by private funicular. The pool seems to extend into the sea from most vantage points. Book a cabana, take the plunge and enjoy a casual afternoon of fresh shellfish, complemented by a Provençal lunch of salad, grilled fish and rosé at the poolside restaurant with a remarkable view of the French Riviera.
