Brittany Mahomes received a handwritten letter from Taylor Swift and it has the entire internet buzzing. The former soccer player has recieved the note amid speculations that the pop star wrote the The Life of a Showgirl track CANCELLED! for her. Brittany took to her Instagram Stories on October 6, 2025 (ET), and shared a package that she had received from none other than the ‘showgirl’ herself. The orange sparkling PR package she received from the Grammy winner was in honour of the release of her 12th studio album.
Along with the vinyl, the package also included two hoodies from the collection and a special note from the singer. Taylor Swift penned a special note stating that if they are reading this note, they are extremely special, as they are someone she admires greatly. She further stated:
“If you’re reading this, you’re someone special who has shown love, someone I admire, and ultimately someone I’d want to celebrate with as we welcome ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ into the world. I hope you like these gifts and the record! With love, a showgirl named Taylor.”
Brittany Mahomes reacted to the gift from Taylor Swift and shared a heartfelt note on her Instagram stories. She penned that Taylor is truly one of the best to ever do something like this. Brittany was one of the many on Taylor’s PR list to receive the package after fans speculated that the latter’s track CANCELLED! was inspired by her. Her note could be read as:

Fans have been speculating that Taylor Swift wrote her song, CANCELLED! for Brittany Mahomes. They had earlier speculated that the song was a diss track. However, after listening to the track, Taylor has done a 180 for the fans. In the song, the Grammy winner seemingly offers a friend, who has been publicly ridiculed, an extended hand, singing:
