Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently watched Kantara: Chapter 1 along with his family and close friends and shared his admiration for the film on social media. Accompanied by his mother Dulari, brother Raju Kher, and friends Herman and Falguni, Anupam said the experience left them “speechless.”

In a video shared by filmmaker Rishab Shetty on X (formerly Twitter), Anupam Kher can be seen standing inside a theatre complex after watching the film. Introducing his group, he said, “We just saw the film. One word—speechless.” Turning to his mother, Dulari, he mentioned he would be sending the video to Rishab, and added, “We liked the film a lot. She is sending blessings. Unbelievable. ‘Speechless’ is the best word to express it. God bless you.” Rishab Shetty responded to the video, writing, “Our hearts are full. Thank you so much, @AnupamPKher sir. So glad you and your family loved #KantaraChapter1. Your kind words mean a lot to us!”

In a separate post, Anupam Kher shared a photo with Rishab Shetty and his wife, Pragathi Shetty. He captioned the image: “Dearest @shetty_rishab! Just watched #Kantara with my mom, brother, Herman and Phalgunii! I am speechless! I wish I had more words to describe you and your entire team’s magical brilliance! May Lord Ram bless you. Jai Ho to you all!” Rishab replied, “Thank you so much, sir.”
About Kantara Chapter 1
Directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, Kantara: Chapter 1 explores the origins of Daiva worship in Tulunadu, with the story rooted in the fourth-century Kadamba dynasty. Rishab plays the role of Berme, a divine protector of the forest and its tribal community. The film also features Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram in pivotal roles. It follows the tension between a royal family seeking to reclaim power from the Daivas and the tribal people who continue to resist.
The supporting cast includes Rakesh Poojari, Hariprashanth MG, Deepak Rai Panaje, Shaneel Gautham, and Naveen Bondel. Kantara: Chapter 1 is produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under the banner of Hombale Films.
Released in multiple languages, the film hit theatres on October 2 and has been praised for its storytelling, visual presentation, and its deep connection to Indian mythology and traditions.
