Benchmark stock market indices opened Monday’s trading session on a flat note, with the mega Tata Capital IPO in focus and the upcoming Q2 earnings season.
The S&P BSE Sensex was up 44.18 points to 81,251.35 around 9:23 am, while the NSE Nifty50 was trading 18.45 points higher at 24,923. Most of the broader market indices were also trading marginally higher as volatility dipped during the session.
Hospital stocks were top gainers during the session after the government revised Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) rates. Some major hospital stocks such as Apollo Hospitals, Max Healthcare and Narayana Health gained sharply during the session.
