The incident has left everyone shocked and reminded people of the back-to-back similar incidents that took place in recent years. The demise of the groom reportedly happened due to a heart attack, and it again raised concerns about the alarming condition, which has been claiming several lives unexpectedly.
A 25-year-old groom dies minutes after tying the mangalsutra around his bride’s neck
The groom named, Praveen Kurne, aged 25 years, got married at Parthanahalli village in Athani taluk of Belagavi district on May 17, 2025. The wedding reportedly took place in Nandikeshwar Kalyana Mantapa, a marriage hall in Jamkhandi town of Bagalkot district in Karnataka. As per the reports, it was only after the groom tied the knot, and tied the mangalsutra around the bride’s neck, that they stood up on the stage for the Aartakshate ritual, wherein the guests blessed the couple with rice and turmeric.
The groom reportedly complained of chest pain and died due to a cardiac arrest
Well, the eyewitness reported to the media that during this time, Praveen complained of chest pain, and within a few minutes, he collapsed on the stage. This incident surely left the entire family shocked, and they rushed the groom to the nearby hospital. Later, the groom was rushed to the hospital, and it was declared by the doctors that he had already died. Reportedly, a post-mortem analysis would be conducted, and it was also stated after the initial investigation that the demise of the groom happened due to a heart attack.
Heart attack has proved to be a massive threat that has been claiming several lives without any warning
While heart attack has always been a common issue among aged to mid-aged people, over the last few years, it has been claiming the lives of young people as well. A few days ago, an incident took place where a 20-year-old student collapsed on the stage while giving a farewell speech at her college. It was the student’s family member who later lamented her demise and revealed that she had been suffering from a heart-related issue and forgot to take medicine on that very particular day, which claimed her life.

It was back in February 2025, when a 23-year-old young woman’s video left people hurt and shocked. In the video, a young girl named Parinita Jain was seen dancing in joy at a sangeet ceremony. She was seen enjoying herself and leaving the guests clapping with her steps.
After a while, she slowed down and collapsed within the blink of an eye. India Today reported that, as Parinita Jain was motionless afterwards, the guests took her to the nearby hospital, where she was declared dead. Not only Parinita Jain, over the last few years, heart attacks have also claimed several lives, without any warning, causing it to be a concern among youngsters too.
