Back to business.
Nicole Kidman made her first public appearance following her split from Keith Urban.
The âPractical Magicâ star stepped out to attend amFARâs auction in Dallas on Saturday, where she presented her âLionessâ collaborator Taylor Sheridan with an award.
At one point, Kidman shared a message about uplifting our communities and elevating âour common humanity.â
âI think what Taylor recognizes, as we all do, is that we are all more alike than we are different, and that we are better when we look out for each other, and that of course is why weâre here tonight,â she said in her brief address, according to video shared by People.
âWhat better way to support, to elevate our common humanity than to help fund bold and innovative research,â she added.
News surfaced last week that Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, had split after 19 years of marriage.
âSometimes relationships just run their course,â an insider told Page Six, adding that the âPerfect Coupleâ star âdid not want the separation and was trying to save things.â
Multiple sources told TMZ that the estranged pair had been living apart âsince the beginning of summer.â
Kidman filed for divorce from the country music crooner the following day, citing âirreconcilable differencesâ as the reason for their split amid reports that Urban had started seeing a new woman.
An insider close to the âBig Little Liesâ actress told TMZ that âall the signs point to the fact that Keith is with another woman.â
However, it remains unclear when he struck up the alleged romance.
âLetâs just say Nicole doesnât dispute that, but sheâs still shocked over it.â Another source added, saying the rumors are âall over Nashville.â
Kidman reportedly was saddened by the collapse of her marriage, but is âmoving onâ and focused on caring for her children, a source exclusively told us on Thursday.
In her Tuesday filing, she asked that the court appoint her as the primary residential parent for their two minor kids: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
Kidman submitted documents regarding the former coupleâs marital dissolution agreement, which âmakes adequate and sufficient provisions for the partiesâ assets and debts,â and a parenting plan, which details their parenting schedules and who will be entitled to make decisions on behalf of their daughters.
