Actor Babil Khan, son of the late Irrfan, recently posted a series of emotional videos on Instagram – only to delete them shortly after. In the now-deleted clips, which were reshared by fans on Reddit, Babil appeared visibly distressed, crying and slurring his words, prompting concern over his mental well-being.

In the clips, Babil took a dig at the film industry, openly criticising several Bollywood celebrities, including Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Adarsh Gourav.

He can be heard saying, “What I mean to say is that. I just want u guys to know that. There are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Pandey and Arjun Kapoor and Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal and Adarsh Gourav and even (?) Arijit Singh (?) They’re so, so many more names. Bollywood is so f****d. Bollywood is so screwed (sic).”

“Bollywood is the most fakest, fakest, fakest industry that I’ve ever ever been a part of. But there are few people that want Bollywood to be better (smiles). I got to show to you so much more, so much more, so much more. I have so much more to give you…,” he said in one clip.

    Here’s another viral clip:

Many fans expressed deep concern for Babil, interpreting the outburst as a sign of emotional distress. One user reflected on the toxic culture within the industry, while another empathised with Babil’s continuing struggle after losing his father.

A user wrote, “This is seriously concerning, no? Something terrible must have happened for him to come up on the social media to say all this with this intensity. Imagine if this turns out to be PR stunt, how’s he gonna recover from the lack of trust then (sic),” while another comment read, “This definitely seems real and seems like he is going through something really harsh. Hope is family reacts and gets to him quick, or at the very least law enforcement. I’ve seen mental states like this working in a psych facility, he needs help stats (sic).”
