Mikhaila Peterson believes her family is under spiritual attack
On October 5, 2025, Dr. Jordan B. Peterson’s daughter, Mikhaila took to her X handle to give an update about her father’s health condition. In her emotional video, she recalled heartbreaking incidents like her father’s sudden hospitalization and her newborn daughter’s near-fatal heart failure. All the incidents made her question whether these challenges are part of a larger spiritual battle. Apart from talking about the emotional toll, she also mentioned that her father has been discharged from ICU and is showing improvements on a daily basis.
She also highlighted that despite being sick, he has not left his work and is all set to release the We Who Wrestle with God tour on YouTube. In her video, she also expressed gratitude for the support and prayers they have received and remains hopeful for her father’s recovery. Along with the video, she penned a long note, which can be read as:
“Hey, as you know @jordanbpeterson has been really sick. A lot of people have been asking for updates so here’s one. He’s recovering slowly day by day but I won’t lie, it’s slow and scary. He won’t be back for another few months at least, probably longer. We’re not entirely sure what’s going on but it looks like possibly severe CIRS and a LOT of bad luck. Or we’re getting spiritually attacked. Or both.”

Dr. Jordan B. Peterson is a Canadian clinical psychologist, author and public intellectual, who is well-known for his insights on psychology, mythology, and religion. He was born on June 12, 1962, and studied political science and psychology. He rose to international fame, when he opposed Canada’s Bill C-16. Some of his bestselling books include Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos, We Who Wrestle With God and Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life.
Popular Canadian psychologist and author, Dr. Jordan B. Peterson has been grappling with significant health challenges since August 2025. He was recently hospitalized in the ICU, suffering from pneumonia and sepsis, following a series of neurological issues, which is believed to stem from SIRS (systemic inflammatory response syndrome) caused by decades of mold exposure. Over the past several years, he has experienced unexplainable neuropathy, weakness, and other symptoms, which worsened his health.
