Veteran actress, Nafisa Ali has been fighting with stage 4 peritoneal and ovarian cancer since 2018. A while ago, she resumed her chemotherapy as surgery is not an option for her currently. Recently, she flaunted her bald look amidst her cancer treatment and as a major side-effect of chemotherapy.

Nafisa Ali is known for her big, bright smile, which can lift anyone’s heart. The actress took to her Instagram handle and posted two pictures, flaunting her bald look. She was dressed up in a yellow-hued gingham top with brown pants. She wore her reading glasses and her usual big smile, showing immense courage while fighting cancer. Along with it, she wrote:
“Positive power.”
It is worth mentioning that amidst Nafisa Ali Sodhi’s battle against cancer, her grandchildren have been a ray of hope. Recently, she shared an emotional moment with her grandchildren, helping her with her hair fall. Nafisa shared a series of pictures and a video on her Instagram account. In the glimpses, her grandchildren were helping her with her hair fall. They were snipping her hair with their hands.

Nafisa Ali was diagnosed with stage 3 peritoneal and ovarian cancer in November 2018. However, a year later, she was declared cancer-free as she followed the doctors’ treatment. She talked about her struggle and stated that she still had to go for check-ups every three months. She said:
“I still have to go for check-ups every three months and it will be five years before it can be said that the cancer is in remission, but it was still a good reason to reach for the champagne.”
It was in 2020 when Nafisa noticed white patches on her skin while she was undergoing chemotherapy. She stated that she got diagnosed with leucoderma. And after five years, her cancer returned, and she has resumed her chemotherapy sessions. In an interview with The Quint, Nafisa revealed that she first found out about her cancer only after being repeatedly misdiagnosed by doctors. Later, it was journalist Madhu Trehan who asked her to get a proper check-up after seeing her in pain. She revealed that by then the cancer had already metastasised. She claimed that the delay in the diagnosis made things far worse, as it was Stage 3 in the past, and it is now at Stage 4.
