Fresh details have emerged about Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the teenager whose body was found inside the trunk of a Tesla owned by R&B and pop singer D4vd.
According to police records obtained by TMZ, sheriff’s deputies visited Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s residence in Lake Elsinore, California, 11 times from February 2024 to April 2025.
The information, cited by TMZ, lists three visits occurring on March 19, 2024. Nearly all calls were logged as “minor crime investigation.” One, however, was noted for “suspicious circumstances.”
On April 5, 2024, Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s family reported her missing. Eighteen months after that date, her dismembered body was located inside a Tesla’s trunk.
The vehicle, registered to R&B/pop performer D4vd (David Anthony Burke), had Texas license plates. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the car had been left abandoned in the Hollywood Hills, where officers ultimately found the remains. Police have yet to reveal the length of time the vehicle sat deserted before the grim discovery.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has labeled Rivas Hernandez’s cause of death as “deferred” while further testing proceeds. Investigators have stated “they believe her body had been in the vehicle for several weeks.” Ongoing work by the Medical Examiner’s office may clarify both the precise window and cause of death as the case moves forward.
D4vd faces no criminal charges related to Rivas Hernandez’s disappearance or death. The singer has remained silent publicly; requests for comment from KTLA have not been answered. Authorities have not connected D4vd to any prior incidents involving the Rivas Hernandez household. The investigation is active, with officials awaiting additional forensic evidence and the Medical Examiner’s forthcoming analysis.
