Taapsee Pannu, one of the most popular actresses in Indian cinema, has achieved yet another milestone—this time beyond the silver screen. The Pink star has been announced as the first Indian brand ambassador for Dove Hair Care, making her the face of the global beauty giant’s campaigns in India and beyond.

With Dove traditionally focusing on everyday people instead of celebrities, this appointment marks a historic shift. The brand, we hear, has chosen Taapsee for her strong relatability, credibility, and global presence, all of which perfectly align with Dove’s philosophy of authenticity and self-acceptance.

Speaking about the new campaign, Taapsee Pannu said, “This campaign is especially close to my heart because I was the one who reached out to Dove. I wanted to start a conversation not just about hair, but about confidence, identity, and self-acceptance. I wanted younger girls to see that I stand tall and proud with my curls, just as they are. Curls have a personality of their own, and yes, they can be unpredictable but once you learn to embrace them, they become your strength. To every young girl out there: be patient with your curls. Get to know them. One day, you’ll look back and wonder why you ever wanted to change them.”

This partnership not only cements Taapsee’s influence as a global brand icon but also signals Dove’s new direction in connecting with younger audiences through voices that matter.

Taapsee’s association with leading international names is already noteworthy. She was earlier appointed as the first Indian global brand ambassador for skincare giant Nivea, while also representing Van Heusen’s women’s fashion line, Vogue Eyewear, and Reebok. More recently, she was unveiled as Yakult Danone India’s new face in August 2025. With Dove Hair Care, however, Taapsee steps into a legacy moment—one where she is not only the first but also the trailblazer shaping a new chapter for the brand in India.
