Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumar, the rom-com starring Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf, is already making headlines for its opening day collection. For the uninitiated, the film has grossed approximately Rs. 7.01 crore in India as of now. This is the second time, Varun and Janhvi are coming together as a pair. Earlier, the duo was seen in the film, Bawaal. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film’s peppy tracks have also garnered a lot of attention. The plotline of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari
Shashank Khaitan’s directorial follows ‘Sunny’ (played by Varun Dhawan), who is deeply in love with ‘Ananya’ (played by Sanya Malhotra). He plans a grand proposal, but ‘Ananya’ rejects him, saying that it was just a situationship between them. She also reveals that she’s getting married to ‘Vikram Singh’ (played by Rohit Saraf), a rich businessman’s son. Getting rejected, ‘Sunny’ got heartbroken. He then finds out that ‘Vikram’ once dated ‘Tulsi Kumari’ (played by Janhvi Kapoor). In order to stop the wedding, ‘Sunny’ and ‘Tulsi’ form a team.
They pretended to be head over heels in love and acted like a couple. They also attended the wedding of ‘Vikram’ and ‘Ananya’, in Udaipur, hoping to make their exes jealous and finally break the ceremony. But while playing this game, ‘Sunny’ and ‘Tulsi’ start falling for each other. Meanwhile, ‘Vikram’ and ‘Ananya’ also realise that they still have feelings for their ex-partners. This unexpected twist complicates everything at the end.
