A fall sneaker staple from Beaverton, Ore.-based sportswear giant Nike is set to return to retail shelves just as temperatures begin to drop.

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid ’07 Prm QS “Flax” is arriving at select stores now. Clad in a Flax/Flax/Outdoor Green color combination, the mid-top version of the retro 1982 basketball shoe is outfitted with a wheat nubuck material reminiscent of Timberland’s Premium 6-Inch Waterproof Boot. Small Outdoor Green branding hits are found on the support strap’s Velcro closure and the heel embroidery.

Numerous design cues are borrowed from the iconic outdoor boot including its gum rubber bottom, thin shoelaces and soft, premium nubuck. On certain iterations of the seasonal sneaker, Nike has even gone as far as to add metal hardware and water-resistant finishes.

First introduced in the 2000s, Nike has offered dozens of Flax and Wheat Air Force 1 variations over the decades since its debut. Its Mid and Low variations are the most popular with sneaker fans and the style has also been offered in High variations. In 2021, Supreme released its own spin on the Wheat look complete with its red box logo branding.

Other recent Air Force 1 news of note includes an upcoming winterized version of the model equipped with a Gore-Tex membrane and Vibram outsole.

Summer may have officially ended on Sept. 22 but now, with the return of the Flax Air Force 1, it’s really starting to feel like fall. The autumnal colorway is arriving at select retailers now and is labeled as a limited-edition Quickstrike release. Retail pricing is set at $145 and the style code is 715889-200.

For those who are having trouble finding the Mid or simply don’t want to wait, the low-top Air Force 1 ’07 WB Flax/Gum Light Brown/Black/Wheat variation is also available now from nike.com for $130.
