Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is all set to celebrate his 83rd birthday on October 11, 2025, and this year, the celebration won’t be limited to a private gathering at home. The iconic actor will also mark the occasion on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17, the quiz show he has been hosting for over two decades.

To make the day even more special, the show’s team has planned a heartfelt surprise by inviting two guests who share a strong personal and professional connection with the actor lyricist-screenwriter Javed Akhtar and filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar.
The father-son duo was recently spotted arriving at the KBC set. While interacting briefly with the media outside, Farhan looked dapper in a grey suit paired with a simple white T-shirt, while Javed Akhtar opted for a classic red kurta with black pants.
In a video shared on Instagram, photographers asked Farhan if he had a special message for Amitabh Bachchan on his birthday. He responded warmly, saying: “Bas janamdin ki badhai dena chahenge. Hamesha unki sehat achhi rahe. Aur unki umar lambi ho.” (“We just want to wish him a happy birthday. May he always have good health and live a long life.”)
This won’t be the first time Big B celebrates his birthday on the Kaun Banega Crorepati stage. Back in 2022, when he turned 80, he was surprised on set by his wife Jaya Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan. The emotional moment was captured in a video that Abhishek shared on Instagram, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the carefully planned surprise.
Abhishek wrote in the caption: “It took a lot of secrecy, a lot of planning, a lot of hard work and a lot of rehearsals to get it right. But then again, he deserves no less! It was very emotional to be able to surprise Dad and celebrate his 80th birthday at the place he loves the most—his workplace.”
