Actor Kiara Advani has publicly objected to a media report that misquoted her remarks about Kareena Kapoor Khan. The actor claims an old interview was pulled out of context and used to suggest she compared her child to Kareena—something she says is inaccurate.

During the promotional events for Good Newzz (2019), Kiara had, in a light-hearted moment, responded to a question about qualities she would like a daughter to inherit. She said, “Her confidence, her expressions, her aura. All her qualities. She is a 10 on 10.”
Following the birth of her daughter, a social media page named Bolly Masala reposted an image of Kiara with Kareena and captioned, “Kiara Advani wants her daughter to have Kareena Kapoor’s qualities. She and Sidharth recently welcomed a baby girl.” This, Kiara said, was a distortion of what she had intended. She responded firmly, “This was said during the promotions of our film Good Newzz. Kindly stop putting old interviews out of context.”
Kiara and husband Sidharth Malhotra welcomed their first child, a daughter, in July 2025. The couple confirmed the birth via a joint announcement, “Our hearts are full and our world forever changed. We are blessed with a Baby Girl. KIARA & SIDHARTH.” Kiara also shared a photo on Instagram showing a necklace bearing the word “MAMA.”
On the professional front, Kiara was most recently seen in War 2. She is also slated to make her Kannada debut with Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups, alongside Yash, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Achyut Kumar and Akshay Oberoi, with a release scheduled for March 19, 2026.
The actor’s reprimand underscores the challenges public figures face when past statements are repackaged or manipulated, particularly during sensitive personal phases such as parenthood.
