    Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The late-night buzz continues in a rare crossover featuring the host who was temporarily suspended (Jimmy Kimmel) and the host who was canceled (Stephen Colbert), each supporting the other during their ordeals. As a highlight of Kimmel’s week in Brooklyn, “late-night martyr” Colbert appears with Kimmel on a show that also features Kumail Nanjiani and musical guest Renée Rapp. To return the favor, Kimmel appears on Colbert’s midtown Manhattan show, which also features Sam Smith. Have there ever been friendlier rivals?

Premiering September 30th, this original half-hour football comedy on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ stars Glen Powell as a disgraced quarterback chasing redemption. Disguised under a wig, prosthetics, and southern charm, he reinvents himself as walk-on oddball Chad Powers. The series is inspired by Eli Manning’s viral ESPN sketch, where the NFL legend (and series producer) went undercover at Penn State tryouts.

While Amy continues to pursue avenues to retrieve eight years’ worth of lost memories, more are triggered by the arrival of her mentor and friend, Dr. Joan Ridley (Desperate Housewives Felicity Huffman), a demanding instructor of medicine and surgery who’s being pursued by Westside to stick around as the next chief of internal medicine.

    Nightmares of Nature

Mother Nature is one scary lady. That has never been more apparent than in this cheeky nature series, narrated by Maya Hawke, that uses horror-movie techniques (sound effects, jump scares, and the like) to present a wildlife story like no other. In the three-part “Cabin in the Woods,” a raccoon, frog, and pregnant mouse experience all the perils nature can throw at them in the North American woods, but things only get worse when they take shelter in an abandoned cabin. A second series, “Lost in the Jungle,” is set in a Central American rainforest and airs closer to Halloween.

    On Brand With Jimmy Fallon

It’s like a kinder, gentler Apprentice, though not without its own pressures to succeed. Jimmy Fallon is host, creator, and executive producer of a competition series challenging wannabe marketing mavens to create campaigns for major brands, taking product placement to a new level. Fallon teams with C-suite veteran Bozoma Saint John, who serves as Chief Marketing Officer of the made-for-TV On Brand Agency, to welcome 10 contestants to pitch their hearts out and impress the client-of-the-week. Dunkin’ is first up, seeking a new slogan and campaign for their breakfast meal deal (with merch as a bonus), and whoever wins will see their vision realized in stores across the country. A second episode airs Friday.

The best-of-three series opens with four games today and Wednesday, with the Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland Guardians at 1 pm/ET (ESPN), San Diego Padres vs. Chicago Cubs at 3 pm/ET (ABC), Boston Red Sox vs. arch-rival New York Yankees at 6 pm/ET (ESPN) and Cincinnati Reds vs. Los Angeles Dodgers at 9 pm/ET (ESPN). • The Naked Gun (streaming on Paramount+): The reboot of the slapstick crime-comedy franchise, starring Liam Neeson as the hapless Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., makes its streaming debut.
