Durga Puja, also known as Durgotsava or Sharadotsav, is being celebrated with great fervour across the country. The 10-day festival, one of India’s grandest, marks Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahishasura. Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor was spotted embracing the festive spirit on September 29 in Mumbai.

A day after his 43rd birthday, the actor was photographed at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal, an annual event organised by Kajol and her family. Dressed in a blue kurta paired with white pyjamas, Ranbir offered prayers before the idol of Goddess Durga. Accompanying him was filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, donning a pink kurta, who was seen by Ranbir’s side throughout the visit.
The duo, known for their collaborations in films like Wake Up Sid and Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva, share a warm bond that extends beyond their professional ties. Ranbir also interacted with fans, posing for photos and sharing moments of joy during the visit.
The actor’s appearance came shortly after his birthday celebrations. He had marked the occasion by cutting a cake with photographers outside his residence and expressing gratitude to his fans. In a heartfelt message shared on his lifestyle brand ‘ARKS’ Instagram handle, he said:
“Hi, I want to take this moment to say thank you to all of you for all the love and wishes coming on my birthday. I am 43 years old today, as you can see a lot of grey in my beard. It keeps increasing year by year. A lot of gratitude in my heart for my family, my friends, for my work, and mostly for all of you. Thank you so much for making me feel so special.”
On the professional front, Ranbir is set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Additionally, he will portray Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part epic Ramayana, with the first installment slated for release during Diwali 2026 and the second in Diwali 2027.
Ranbir Kapoor’s visit to the Durga Puja pandal highlighted both his spiritual side and his deep-rooted connections with friends, family, and fans alike.
