A slew of footwear hit the runway as part of the new collection presentation: combat boots, colorful heels, caged sandals and more styles. And amid the variety of shoes, a familiar arrangement of stripes could be seen on some sneakers.
Versace and Onitsuka Tiger, which belongs to Japanese athletic brand Asics, have collaborated on a reinterpretation of Onitsuka Tiger’s signature Tai Chi style. Available in various colorways, including a grayish-green option with off-white stripes and an off-white version with brown stripes, the sneakers feature a slim sole and display the brand’s signature side stripes. A tiny gold version of the Medusa head, the emblem of Versace, adorned the sneakers. They were paired with socks of striking colors to be shown on the runway.

This marks the first collection showcased by Versace since Dario Vitale joined as creative director, succeeding Donatella Versace. Miles Socha described the collection for WWD, “Vitale’s Versace — his first show at least, for he said gowns might appear later in other contexts — skewed more East Village disco than Met Gala, transposing Versace’s reputation for color, audaciousness and sex appeal into more everyday garments like T-shirts, sweaters, blousons, vests and jeans — all with an unabashed retro brio.”

Meanwhile, Onitsuka Tiger also had its own spring 2026 show presented in Milan. In recent times, the brand has also collaborated with Patou, a French label, on a collection which included redesigns of the Onitsuka Tiger’s Mexico 66 and Mexico Rinkan shoes in addition to a ballerina adaptation of the Mexico 66, among other items.
