Come Sunday, February 8, the halftime show at Super Bowl LX will be performed by none other than Bad Bunny.

Needless to say, the performer has been on a hot streak this year. He contributed hundreds of millions of dollars to Puerto Rico’s economy during his “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” residency this summer, which followed the release of his celebrated sixth studio album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, in January; he co-starred with Adam Sandler and Travis Kelce in Happy Gilmore 2; and next week, he will host the Season 51 premiere of Saturday Night Live.

The announcement follows several months’ worth of intense speculation, with Taylor Swift reportedly walking away from negotiations when the NFL refused her terms and the likes of Adele, Miley Cyrus, Jay-Z, Metallica, and BTS appearing on various short lists.

Bad Bunny will have a lot to live up to following Kendrick Lamar’s Emmy-winning set at Super Bowl LIX, when he invited SZA, Samuel L.
