The assassination of conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder, Charlie Kirk, on September 10, 2025, stunned America. Charlie was shot while he was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most prominent conservative voices of his generation. In the wake of his death, Erika Kirk, his wife, has stepped forward to lead the movement he built. At a memorial service attended by more than 60,000 people, including President, Donald Trump and Vice President, JD Vance, Erika was announced as the new CEO of Turning Point USA. Her message to the grieving crowd was clear, Charlie’s mission will continue.
Erika Kirk made a rare appearance on The Charlie Kirk Show
On September 26, 2025, Erika made a rare appearance on her late husband’s podcast, The Charlie Kirk Show. Hosting the episode herself, she revealed what lies ahead for the platform that Charlie founded in 2019.
Erika told the listeners that The Charlie Kirk Show is not going anywhere. She announced that the show would take on a new format with rotating hosts, guest emcees, and a broad range of voices to carry forward Charlie’s vision. She could be quoted as saying:
“My husband’s voice will live on. The show will go on. We will have rotating hosts, rotating casts, rotating people coming on. It is going to be continually the north star of the conservative movement, of the voice of the youth, of the voice of the base, and that will not end.”
Erika will continue the Turning Point USA’s mission
During the podcast, Erika also confirmed that the American Comeback Tour, a nationwide college campus initiative, will go on as planned. She emphasised that Turning Point USA would move ‘full steam ahead’ and even faster than before. She has taken on the role of CEO at Turning Point USA and could be quoted as saying:
“We’ll never be silenced…That’s why continuing his platform in a beautiful, honorable way will reinforce that he will never be silenced. My husband’s voice will go on.”

Erika Kirk paid a personal tribute to Charlie Kirk
The podcast episode also gave Erika space to reflect on Charlie’s life and character. She laughed as she recalled family moments, including a memory of when her mother once told Charlie that he was ‘his generation’s Rush Limbaugh.’ For Charlie, that comparison was a turning point that inspired him to elevate The Charlie Kirk Show to new heights.
At the memorial service held just days earlier, Erika offered a moving tribute to her husband. She shared that when she saw Charlie’s body, the surgeon told her that he had not suffered. She told the audience that she saw the faintest smile on his lips, which revealed to her a great mercy from God in the midst of this tragedy. She added that Charlie died doing what he loved, debating, arguing, and sharing his faith on campus.
As Erika steps into the spotlight, she carries both the personal grief of losing her husband and the public responsibility of leading his movement. By taking charge of Turning Point USA and reshaping The Charlie Kirk Show, she has ensured that Charlie’s influence will not fade. Instead, his legacy will continue to inspire future generations, guided by Erika’s promise that his voice ‘will go on.’
