Being a mother of two children, Kajol ensured that Nysa and Yug got Durga maa’s blessings. The Maa actress opted for a vibrant red silk saree with gold zari work, paired with a matching blouse. The trio also posed for photographs. A video featuring Kajol, Nysa, and Yug surfaced online, showing the trio chatting with each other. While Kajol playfully scolds her son, Yug, he quickly gives a kiss on Kajol’s temple.

A playful and heartfelt moment between the sister-brother duo, Nysa and Yug, has surfaced online during the Durga Puja festivities. In the clip, Nysa was seen wearing a traditional yellow suit with heavy golden embroidery, and Yug donned a blue kurta and white pyjama. Yug spoke something to his sister, Nysa, while she made a face, hinting that her little brother was playfully teasing her. Seeing Nysa’s reaction, Yug quickly gave her a tight and warm hug, making the moment look adorable.

This year, in 2025, cousin-sister duo, Kajol and Rani Mukerji unveiled the idol of Goddess Durga of the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal. While the duo took down the curtains, the powerful chants of Aigiri Nandini filled the air.
The Trial actress looked stunning in a beige organza saree with a delicate zari border, paired with a vibrant red blouse. On the other hand, the National Award-winning actress opted for a white silk-blend Bengali saree that highlighted her grace. Both of them kept their makeup minimal, letting their traditional attire shine. After the revelation of Durga maa, Kajol and Rani bowed in front of her with folded hands.

The Mukerji family of Bollywood came together to celebrate Durga Puja. Apart from Kajol and Rani, the former’s sister, Tanishaa and their cousin, renowned director, Ayan Mukerji, also joined the festivities. However, this year’s puja was a bit emotional for them as it was the first celebration without Ayan’s dad and veteran actor, Deb Mukherjee, who passed away on March 14, 2025. Speaking to IANS, Tanishaa shared that this year’s celebrations carried both joy and sadness simultaneously for the family. In her words:
“It is a time of little sadness for our family, along with a little excitement because this year there have been three deaths in our family. Our Debu Kaka (Deb Mukherjee), who used to organise Durga Puja every year, is no more, and for us it would be a little difficult to attend the puja this time.”
