The Bigg Boss 19 is creating controversies week after week, and this time, things took an ugly turn when Farhana Bhatt slapped Shehbaz Badesha in a recent episode. However, Shehbaz chose not to act on the matter and let it slide due to the friendship concern. However, on Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman Khan reprimanded Farhana Bhatt’s action.
Salman Khan slams Farhana Bhatt for slapping Shehbaz Badesha
In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman Khan slammed Farahana Bhatt for crossing the limits and slapping Shehbaaz Badesha. He condemned the incident and highlighted that Shehbaaz chose not to escalate the issue, and if he had, she would be out of the show. Salman clearly stated how the incident could have backfired on Farhana.
Salman stated that he saw the video, wherein she slapped Shehbaz. He pointed out that she slapped him quite forcefully. However, Farhana quickly stated that she apologised to Shehbaz, and Salman said:
“It’s only because Shehbaz didn’t make it an issue. He quickly covered it up and moved on. Had this happened with someone else in the house, there are at least 4–5 people who would have blown it out of proportion. And you would’ve been out of the house. You need to thank him for how he reacted. If he had made it a bigger issue, you would’ve definitely been evicted. There was irritation, there was anger, and the impact was serious. We were quite stunned watching it.”
Salman added that imagine if something like this had happened outside the house, or if someone had done the same with her, even if it was a girl. Salman stated that Farhana wouldn’t have let it go. Salman further highlighted that physical abuse becomes a question in the house if the one getting it raises their voice. He said:
“Just imagine if something like this had happened outside the house. You know very well what the consequences would’ve been. Or if someone had hit you like that- even if it were a girl. I guarantee you wouldn’t have stayed silent. In this house, physical aggression becomes an issue only when the person on the receiving end raises their voice or objects. But Shehbaz let it go, chose to underplay it out of friendship, and that’s why you were spared today. Remember, this could have backfired very badly — but it didn’t, thanks to Shehbaz. You owe him one.”
Shehbaz’s team issues a statement on the matter
Meanwhile, Shehbaz’s team took the matter on Instagram and addressed the incident. In their statement, they highlighted that Shehbaz respects women, but it doesn’t mean he can’t take a stand for himself. They highlighted that Shehbaz could have made it a big issue, but he showed his maturity and stood with his friend. The statement can be read as:
“Just because Shehbaz aurat ki izzat karta hai…unki respect karta hai matlab ye nahi hai ke vo stand nahi le sakta… chahta to bohot bada mudda bana sakta tha par usne maturity dikhai and friendship nibhai hai. He is a true friend usko taken for granted kabhi mat lena.”
