South actor, Kanna Ravi, is now being seen in Veduvan, which also has top stars such as Sanjeev Venkatsubramanian, Shravnitha Srikanth, Ramya Ramakrishna, and Rekha Nair, to name a few. Pavan has written as well as directed the series, while the music has been composed by Vibin Bhaskar. Kanna Ravi’s Veduvan trailer released on September 27, 2025, and it has already made fans excited and given a peek at the emotional plot.
Kanna Ravi shows the life of an encounter specialist in Veduvan
Veduvan’s trailer begins with a mysterious man murdering goons, and gossip surrounding a police officer’s covert operations surfaces. The series showcases ‘Sooraj’ (Kanna Ravi), an actor struggling to play the life of an encounter specialist. He soon realises that the life of an encounter specialist is risky, where one has to go on missions which are impossible, secretive and is shown to have an aim where he is targeting a goon, while keeping his identity hidden.

Pavan, earlier in a media statement, had already shared that his vision with Veduvan was to tell a story that showcased emotions of love, duty, and betrayal colliding. Every character is crafted with shades of grey, and every decision they make comes at a cost, the director had noted. The crime series will air on Zee 5 from October 10, 2025, and viewers of OTTplay Premium can watch. Kanna Ravi found his role to be personal and, in a media statement,t shared:
“Veduvan is a journey into the blurred space between reel and real. Playing Sooraj meant not only stepping into the life of a struggling actor, but also living through Arun’s battles, his choices, and his sacrifices. It’s a story about how far people go for duty, for love, and for redemption. As an actor, it challenged me in ways that left a mark far beyond the screen.”
Veduvan shows Kanna Ravi digs deep into the life of an encounter specialist
Veduvan has been produced by Sreenidhi Sagar of Rise East, and the plot shows how ‘Sooraj’ gets a chance to play a character in a biopic named, ‘Encounter Specialist Arun’. ‘Sooraj’ comes to know that ‘Arun’s life has been filled with risky missions, unknown secrets and decisions which give him another opportunity to kind of revive his career. The story gets exciting as duties, morality and love clash between the reel and real life of ‘Sooraj’. Director, Pawan, had also noted that he wanted to make a self-provoking series and shared:
“I wanted to create a series that doesn’t just entertain but also provokes reflection, leaving viewers questioning what they themselves would do in such circumstances. I am grateful to ZEE5 for backing a story this bold and emotionally layered, and I cannot wait for audiences to experience the world of Veduvan.”

Kanna Ravi’s Veduvan is backed by a technical team which is very strong. While Vibin, on one hand, composed the power-packed music, Srinivasan Devaraj, on the other hand, managed the power-packed cinematography, while S. Surajkavee was the editor. The Tamil series trailer has already gained a lot of fame, and it seems like the series is already set to create a thunderstorm on the OTT platform.
