Lourdes Leon made a daring display at the Roberto Cavalli show during Milan Fashion Week on Thursday. The singer and model showcased a bold look with a pair of black leather ankle-strap sandals featuring a high stiletto heel that appeared to be approximately four inches tall.

The shoes boasted a strappy design with crisscrossed toe straps and included shimmery gold accents on the heel. The pops of gold seamlessly complemented the serpentine bracelets she donned on each wrist.

Leon’s sandals were paired with a floor-length black dress featuring a large circular cutout at the abdomen and a thigh slit that hit her hip line. She completed her ensemble with a small, black patent leather bag featuring a croc-embossed appearance and a gold handle.

Strappy, black high-heeled sandals have been everywhere of late. Dua Lipa hit the streets of New York City last week in a patent leather Tom Ford style, boasting a tortoiseshell-effect stiletto. Meanwhile, Alix Earle also sported pair with an asymmetrical strap courtesy of Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini earlier this month. Anya Taylor-Joy reached for Aquazzura’s popular Olie silhouette at the Toronto Film Festival on Sept. 7. Meanwhile, Margot Robbie opted for a caged Alaïa pair for a press event in London last month.

Much like pointy black pumps, strappy black sandals offer a timeless look that complements a variety of outfits, but their open-toe design makes them easier on the feet. Popular designer shoe brands like Manolo Blahnik, Alexandre Birman, Giuseppe Zanotti, Jimmy Choo and Paris Texas all offer variations on the classic style, as does Saint Laurent, Dolce & Gabbana and Khaite.
