Sivakarthikeyan’s psychological action-packed thriller, Madharaasi, has paved its way to the OTT platforms, after a successful theatrical run. By maintaining a four-week gap between the theatrical and OTT releases, Madharaasi is all set to entertain the audience through Amazon Prime Video from October 1, 2025. The action thriller will be available for streaming in multiple languages, including Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu. The OTT announcement was made by the protagonist of Madharaasi, Sivakarthikeyan himself, through a short video. The caption of the post can be read as:

Plotline of Sivakarthikeyan’s action thriller, Madharaasi
Set against the backdrop of Tamil Nadu, AR Murugadoss’s Madharaasi is a mix of intense action and psychological drama. The story revolves around ‘Raghu Ram’ (played by Sivakarthikeyan), an orphan struggling with a rare disorder that often takes a toll on him, for which he faces uncontrollable violent outbursts. A life-twisting moment awaits ‘Raghu’ just as he finds love with Malathi (played by Rukmini Vasanth).
Meanwhile, NIA officer ‘Premnath’ (played by Biju Menon) assigns ‘Raghu’ a secret mission to track down a dangerous arms syndicate. This undercover mission puts him face-to-face with ‘Virat’ (played by Vidyut Jammwal) and ‘Chirag’ (Vikranth), who are handling the weapons smuggling into Tamil Nadu. Who bagged the highest paycheck in Madharaasi?
Sivakarthikeyan, who played the protagonist, ‘Raghu Ram’, in Madharaasi, bagged the highest paycheck. Earlier, in Amaran, where he portrayed the role of ‘Major Mukund Varadharajan’ alongside Sai Pallavi, he reportedly earned Rs. 30 crore. The film, made on a budget of Rs. 120 crore, turned out to be a blockbuster, earning Rs. 219.91 crore in India and Rs. 341.49 crore worldwide.
Following its massive success, the action hero is said to have increased his salary. According to a report by The Times of India, for Madharaasi, the psychological action thriller that marked his grand comeback to theatres, the Amaran actor reportedly received a whopping Rs. 40 crore, his career-highest paycheck so far.
