Netizens express their confusion over Sameer Wankhede’s legal case
On September 25, 2025, NCB officer, Sameer Wankhede filed a defamation case against Aryan Khan and his series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, for allegedly mocking him and making fun of anti-drug agencies. As soon as his legal notice made headlines, a lot of fans took to their X (formerly Twitter) handles and shared their thoughts on the same.
Users on X looked completely confused and wondered how Sameer Wankhede would prove that the character shown in the series is him. Regarding the same, one user commented, “No but how is he going to prove that’s his character help??” Another user wrote, “As far as I remember it wasn’t even introduced with a name or anything, now if he assumes that’s him.” A third user penned, “Not even cruise it was.. Just a normal club party scene.”
Sameer Wankhede’s legal notice
In the first episode of the series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood, there is a scene of a Bollywood party, in which a police officer steps out of a jeep and detains a man smoking w**d. However, realising that he is just a regular DJ, he gets disappointed, until he spots a star doing the same and arrests him instead. This scene ignited the current legal notice. Sameer’s legal team has claimed that the police officer in the series looks a lot like him and he is shown making a rude hand gesture and running an anti-drug campaign in Bollywood.

Sameer believes that it was done on purpose to mock him and damage his image after the 2021 case, in which he arrested Aryan Khan. The legal notice also mentioned that the series gives a false and negative image of anti-drug agencies, which could reduce public trust in them. Along with such accusations, he has demanded Rs. 2 crore, which will be donated to Tata Cancer Memorial Hospital.
