Mahesh Bhatt recently sat for an interview with Humans of Bombay, wherein he revealed that his daughter, Alia Bhatt, decided to get married and have a child, and she has been doing an incredible job in both aspects of her life, her profession and her motherhood. Mahesh Bhatt shared that Alia recently attended the Gucci event in Milan, with Raha accompanying her.
Speaking further about this, Mahesh Bhatt revealed that he recently shot with Alia and Amitabh Bachchan and discovered that Raha had her own vanity. Mahesh Bhatt mentioned that he didn’t enter Raha’s room because he felt the place was like a temple, and he didn’t want to contaminate it. Mahesh Bhatt then praised her daughter and other new-age heroines, who participate in big events, work in the industry, and also take care of their babies. Mahesh Bhatt said:
“Alia chose to get married, and she had a child, and she works. She just went to Milan for the Gucci event, carrying her daughter with her. I recently did an ad with her and Mr Bachchan. I saw that there was a vanity which was for Raha. And Alia says, ‘Why don’t you go and sit in Raha’s room, Papa?’ I didn’t want to contaminate it. It had the feeling of a nursery school. It almost looked like a temple. I said, ‘No, no, no, the old man has no place there’. But that’s the new-age heroines. They go to work, they’re parenting, they go to Gucci events carrying their baby with them.”

In an earlier interview with India Today, Mahesh Bhatt was asked about how his life changed after becoming a grandfather to Raha. To this, Mahesh said that his entire life has changed now that he has become a grandfather, revealing that he has been astonished by Alia’s achievement, and even more so, given that she’s also a mom now. He further mentioned that his gaze has shifted to Raha now, and it happens to every other grandparent when they receive such a wonderful blessing as a tiny human, who has all the power to draw people in with their magical power.
In a previous interview with Zoom, Mahesh Bhatt shared that he was left surprised when Alia and Ranbir decided to introduce their daughter to the media. Ranbir and Alia introduced their baby girl to the world on Christmas 2023, and her cuteness melted people. Speaking of the same, Mahesh Bhatt said that he was left surprised by the couple revealing Raha’s face to the world.
For the unversed, Alia and Ranbir didn’t reveal Raha’s face to the world until she was one year old, and when they did, they left people gushing over their cute baby girl, who, in the following years, left people even more melted with her antics. Well, Mahesh Bhatt expressed his feelings and shared that Raha’s parents might have thought that time to be the perfect one to introduce their baby girl, and thus, they did the same.
