That’s gotta sting.
Emma Stone was chaotically attacked by a bee while walking the red carpet at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals Friday.
The “Poor Things” actress was seen swatting away the stinging insect while posing for photos with her co-stars at the premiere of her new film “Eddington.”
Stone, 36, was smiling beside Joaquin Phoenix, Ari Aster, Austin Butler, Pedro Pascal and Luke Grimes when the bee darted in her direction.
At first, the “Maniac” alum used her hand to bat the bee away. Butler, 33, then stepped in to try and help by using his mouth to blow air at the bee.
The tactic didn’t work as the bee swirled ferociously around Stone, prompting Pascal, 50, to use his hand to push the bug away.
Stone attempted to stay calm but grabbed onto Pascal’s shoulders and hid behind him until the bee made a beeline in another direction.
She and the actors were seen laughing over the pest’s photobombing moment before proceeding to pose with more composure for the photographers.
Fans had a field day over Stone’s reaction and took to social media to poke fun at the incident.
“Oh to be emma stone getting protected by pedro pascal and austin butler from a bee,” one person wrote on X.
“Even bees can’t resist Emma Stone’s star power,” a second social media user said.
“Emma Stone vs. a bee at Cannes? Talk about a buzz-worthy moment!” a punster added.
“Bees often land on beautiful flowers,” a supporter gushed.
Stone looked chic in a custom white gown by Louis Vuitton featuring an oversized bib collar with an asymmetrical cutout and a train in the back.
She accessorized with diamond and emerald drop earrings and wore her red hair pulled back in a sleek bun.
Stone’s eye-catching ensemble, which was styled by Petra Flannery, definitely stood out in comparison to her movie counterparts, who were all dressed in black tuxedos.
Perhaps the gorgeous gown is what set the bee abuzz.
