A video shared on Reddit’s r/Delhi has gone viral after a woman passenger recorded a man staring at her in the Delhi Metro.

The post, captioned “creep creep creep creep,” grabbed the attention of people on social media for showing the uncomfortable reality of daily travel.

It began with the man giving the woman a creepy death stare for nearly 15 minutes. Enraged, she tried staring back, but he refused to break eye contact. His unsettling behaviour left her uncomfortable, prompting her to react by recording a video of him and eventually confronting him.

“This man was giving a death stare for 15 minutes straight, so I stared back until I got so uncomfortable that I had to pull out my camera and confront him,” the woman wrote in the post.

The video has since drawn strong reactions from people on social media. Several users sympathised with the woman and called out the man’s behaviour.

One comment read, “The creepy stare. You look back at them for letting them know that you can see them staring at my clothes, but they’ll still stare at you. Some shameless men. Glad you called them out.”

“Yes, the guts to keep looking even after you stare hard at them to let them know that you know they are looking,” another user wrote in agreement.

On the other hand, people on Reddit advised the passenger to always stick to the ladies coach, so they could avoid being put in such uncomfortable situations.

“Never voluntarily sit in the general coach ever. Always go for the ladies coach,” a user said.

Several comments also mentioned how such instances end up intimidating women, turning a simple metro ride into an uneasy experience.
