Zegna has brought its Negozio retail concept to the Miami Design District.

Negozio, a reference to the Italian word for “store,” is primarily dedicated to the company’s Luxury Leisurewear collection.

The 3,400-square-foot, two-level store at 3906 Northeast First Avenue marks the fourth Negozio store in the U.S. following last year’s openings in Montecito, Calif., Honolulu and Aspen.

The Negozio concept highlights the artistic direction of Zegna’s creative director Alessandro Sartori by creating bright spaces with minimalist finishes and furniture, and light, warm interiors intended to speak to both comfort and modernity.

The store features walls that alternate between trowelled plaster and open-pore, lacquered ash wood paneling — both in Zegna’s signature ivory tone. It also features a range of colors pulled from artworks in the “Born in Oasi” book that was published last year by Rizzoli. The book offers a visual exploration of Oasi Zegna, the company’s 39-square-mile nature preserve in Trivero, Italy.

The space features details in burnished brass and canaletto walnut, which are intended to complement the Luxury Leisurewear offering.

The store is also home to Zegna X, a state-of-the-art 3D style configurator that allows clients to create their own wardrobe. It offers 49 billion potential combinations and after placing their specific orders, the products can be delivered anywhere in the world in less than four weeks.

Among the key pieces carried in the store are the Il Conte jacket, the Alba overshirt, a selection of tailored pieces, the Triple Stitch shoe and the new Mocassin loafer.

Zegna has long been committed to conservation, reforestation and ecological education, efforts that it champions in Oasi Zegna, which was established in 1910. Today, the company plants a tree for every child born to a Zegna employee, donates flowerbeds in the Piazza Duomo in Milan and revitalizes public parks in Palm Beach and Boston, among other things. Last year, Zegna created an immersive experience at a townhouse on the Upper East Side of New York where it recreated its founder’s home within Oasi Zegna. This followed the launch of the book during Salone del Mobile in Milan that told the story of how Ermenegildo Zegna planted more than 500,000 trees and built a road connecting the two sides of the mountain where Oasi Zegna stands today.

Earlier this month, the Ermenegildo Zegna Group reported net profit rose 53 percent to 47.9 million euros in the first half, due in part to the company’s “strategic decision to invest in the DTC store network,” company chairman and chief executive Gildo Zegna said at the time.
