Rajat Bedi revealed he was Aryan Khan’s personal pick for the role
In a recent interview with The Times of India, Rajat Bedi revealed that Aryan Khan specifically chose him to play ‘Jaraj Saxena’ because of his love for Koi… Mil Gaya. He recalled walking into Shah Rukh Khan’s office for the first time and described Aryan as ‘humble, respectful, and full of grace’. He was quoted as saying:
‘Aryan was a huge fan of the film growing up and he was very sure he wanted me in this role. I had no idea he was even making this show, so when he reached out, I was shocked and overwhelmed with gratitude.”

Rajat had also reflected on his early industry days, recalling how his friendship with Shah Rukh Khan began on the sets of Zamana Deewana. Around the same time, he became the first titleholder of the Gladrags modelling competition and even represented India in Australia. He fondly remembered celebrating his success with Aishwarya Rai and Sushmita Sen, who had just won their respective titles of Miss World and Miss Universe.

Despite starting his career alongside stars like Akshay Kumar and Sunny Deol, Rajat Bedi struggled for success in Bollywood. He admitted that he faced betrayal in business ventures during his years in Canada, where he was working as a real estate developer and pursuing acting projects. He confessed he had been used, abused, and left behind. However, those experiences have also drawn him back to India. After 16 years, OTT platforms have now given him a new chance.

Coming from a celebrated film family, Rajat carries the legacy of his father and filmmaker, Narendra Bedi, who was the directorial vision behind movies like Jawani Diwani, Benaam. Not only this, it was his grandfather, Rajinder Singh Bedi, who penned classics like Abhimaan and Satyakam. Rajat revealed that the family’s fourth generation is also ready to enter the industry, and his 22-year-old son is preparing to debut as an actor. His elder sister, an accomplished writer, is currently collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Love and War, starring actors, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
