Amazon MGM Studios India has sparked excitement with the theatrical release of Nishaanchi, a film that blends action, drama, and comedy into a gripping cinematic experience. While the film has earned praise for its engaging storytelling and adrenaline-filled sequences, one performance that has truly stood out is that of Monika Panwar.

Monika portrays the role of Manjari, the mother of Aaishvary’s character, and her performance has struck an emotional chord with audiences. Speaking about the overwhelming response, Monika shared, “I’m honestly so excited about the incredible response Nishaanchi is receiving and how deeply people are connecting with Manjari. Reading reviews that say I ‘steal the show’ still feels surreal, because when I first imagined her, I saw her as the soul of so many women out there. For me, it felt a bit like a Mother India moment—where the mother’s presence leaves a lasting impression.”
Monika went on to explain what drew her to the role: “I’ve always been drawn to roles that stand out—characters who have their own rhythm, even if the story around them keeps moving. For Manjari, it was never about how much screen time she had; it was about the emotional weight she carried every time she appeared on screen. She represents that quiet strength, sacrifice, and resilience we see in so many households, especially from our mothers and housewives.” She added that seeing the character connect so deeply with the audience has been especially rewarding: “Knowing her journey—the silence, the defiance, her voice—has really connected with people. It’s such a fulfilling feeling.”
Nishaanchi also marks the much-anticipated acting debut of Aaishvary Thackeray, who takes on a double role in the high-energy action drama. He stars alongside Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra, each playing key roles in the ensemble cast.
