An insider revealed to The Daily Mail that they are not at all sure what Jimmy will address during his recent live show, but one thing is certain: he won’t just stay quiet, being back on his late-night show. Jimmy, who, as per the insider, remained super pissed over his suspension, is expected from others to go with what’s right. Talking more about the same, the insider revealed:
“We won’t know what he’s doing to say to or address it, they’re going to keep that secret, but I can tell you he’s not going to roll over and just take it. The last week has made his balls bigger, not smaller. I expect him to come out swinging, and I think everyone here does… We are depending on him to stand up for what’s right. If he doesn’t, there will be a mutiny.”

It was during the earlier episode, when Jimmy Kimmel criticised the ‘MAGA gang’ for politicising the assassination of the conservative activist, Charlie Kirk. He made a comment by hinting that the assassination of Charlie Kirk was used for political gain, mostly. Apart from that, as the nation honoured Kirk by lowering the flag to half-mast, Jimmy criticised this, too, tagging it as immature and something like a child losing their pet rather than the loss of a conservative activist. Such comments didn’t go down well, and he was suspended. Now that he is returning, it remains unclear whether he will apologise for his comments or just end up criticising the entire scene.

Jimmy Kimmel is reportedly still furious about his suspension, and insiders have told The Daily Mail that he still intends to leave ABC when his contract expires in May 2026. While not confirmed, insiders shared that he’s returning just out of respect for his teammates and those who worked with him, as he wants no one to miss out on any pay. It’s still unclear whether Jimmy will stay with ABC after the end of the deal. The insider could be quoted as saying:
“He is coming back for everyone that works for him and out of respect for them, he wanted everyone in his crew not to miss any pay and any more work than they already have missed.”
The insiders also mentioned that Jimmy Kimmel is happy, as his return means his workmates will have some time to plan their next steps. An insider shared that Kimmel might not be leaving ABC now, but he can do the same once his contract is over, unless he is offered a substantial amount of money. Reports suggested that while ABC was still paying the other staff members after Jimmy Kimmel left, some employees were snapped leaving the studio. As per the insider:
“As much as he wanted to leave ABC and expected not to be coming back at all, he is happy that the people he works with will have some time to figure out their next steps, because what this taught Jimmy was that he might not be leaving ABC now, he will once his contract is up unless they offer him a boatload of money.”
