However, Arjun tried to stay cordial, Malaika often chose not to get papped with him in public. Recently, their paths crossed again, and this time, the two chose to ignore each other.

Recently, the most-talked-about exes, Arjun and Malaika, found themselves in an awkward moment at the premiere of Homebound. The film stars, Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa. In a clip that surfaced on the internet, Arjun was seen greeting fellow co-actors such as Neha Dhupia.
However, Malaika was standing just a few inches away from him, but Arjun chose not to see her, while she seemed to be waiting for someone, but no eye contact or words gave her the sign, and she quietly walked away. The video went viral, and people wondered if the tension still lingers between them that they chose to ignore each other.
As soon as the video surfaced, netizens flooded the comment section. One user wrote, “I had hopes for them. I thought somehow it would have worked out. He’s just adorable.” A second netizen commented, “They had the choice of moving to another place, but they stood there for a few minutes to take a quick look at each other. It’s not easy to ignore a person completely after having had an open intimacy relationship for a couple of years.” Another one pointed, “Sara pyar ek taraf aur ye awkward moment ek taraf…jeena isi ka nam hai.”
When Malaika slammed Arjun for bringing their personal matter to the public
Malaika always tried to keep her personal matters away from the media glares, but Arjun’s comment dragged her into the media limelight. Despite maintaining a stoic silence, Malaika expressed her hurt by clearly stating that she didn’t choose a public platform to talk about her personal life in an interview with ETimes. Malaika also added that whatever Arjun had said was his prerogative. She was quoted as saying:
“I will never choose a public platform to talk about my personal life. So, whatever Arjun has said is entirely his prerogative.”
For the unversed, in 2024, Arjun Kapoor was spotted at a Diwali celebration event with the team of Singham Returns. In a clip that went viral, someone asked him, ‘Malaika kaisi hai.’ However, it wasn’t clear, so Arjun confirmed in the reply that he was single. He was quoted as saying:
“Nahi, abhi single hoon, relax.”
After breakup, Malaika got inked, and in an interview with The Times Of India, she stated that it symbolises the year 2024 for her. The words ‘sabr‘ and ‘shukr‘ gave her comfort. She was quoted as saying:
“I don’t get them just for the sake of it, they have deep personal meaning. This particular one symbolises the year that 2024 has been for me. The words ‘patience’ (sabr) and ‘gratitude’ (shukr) are very comforting. These words resonate with me when I think about where I am now, compared to where I was just a year ago.”
