Popular Hollywood actress, Sydney Sweeney has been making a lot of headlines lately, not just for professional reasons but also her personal life. Amid that, director, Paul Feig appreciated Sydney’s passion for work despite turmoil in personal life.

Paul Feig revealed Sydney Sweeney’s behaviour on the sets of The Housemaid

Recently, during a candid conversation with Wall Street Journal, the director, Paul Feig opened up about Sydney Sweeney’s behaviour and vibe on the sets of The Housemaid. He shared that during the shooting, Sydney was going through a lot in her personal life, but she never brought any of the baggage to the set. Paul Feig was quoted as saying:

“She loves to work. She was completely present emotionally, just up for anything, and really didn’t bring any issues to set. And I know she was going through some things when this was going on – I mean, now everybody knows about her engagement falling apart and breaking off and all that. But she would never bring it to the set. I’d say: ‘Hey, are you OK?’ and she’d go: ‘I’m fine, I’m great!’ but not defensively.”

Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino first met in 2018 and later got engaged in 2022. Jonathan was a businessman, and the duo together co-founded the production company Fifty-Fifty Films. She had shared:

“No [I’m not planning a wedding] … Yes [I’m single] …I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it.”

Later, a source close to Sydney spoke to PEOPLE and mentioned that Sydney did not feel about the marriage and the relationship, which is why she called it off. The source added that the actress wants to focus on her career right now and is very excited about her projects. The source explained:

“She’s exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects. What did make her overwhelmed, though, was her relationship and her wedding. She didn’t feel right about it. She’s not ready to settle down. They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”
