Both shook hands as thousands of mourners gathered to say goodbye to the Conservative influencer at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The pair spoke for a brief moment before Trump appeared to motion Musk away.
Charlie Kirk, aged 31, died on 10 September at Utah Valley University. Police have arrested Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old college dropout, for shooting Kirk dead.
FROM BROMANCE TO BRINKMANSHIP: TRUMP-MUSK EPIC MELTDOWN
From bromance to brinkmanship, once inseparable, Donald Trump and Elon Musk appeared to be separated forever. In the beginning, it seemed like nothing could break their alliance as a tech billionaire backed Trump’s re-election and Republican President Donald Trump gave full control of the government’s agencies. However, something did break their alliance, and it was Trump’s ‘big beautiful bill.’
The friction between Elon Musk and Donald Trump began shortly after the Tesla CEO criticised the US President’s tax bill. It then escalated further with a back-and-forth war of words between two billionaires over social media. In one of the tweets, Tesla CEO Elon Musk even went on to say that if he had not helped Donald Trump, the Republican leader would have lost the presidential election in 2024. The bitter quarrel took a drastic turn after Musk mentioned the Epstein files.
Recently, Musk announced that exposing the ‘Jeffrey Epstein files’ will be the top priority of his newly announced political party, which is the ‘American Party’. In an X post, the tech giant posed a question about how people should have faith in the United States President Donald Trump if he does not release the files in relation to disgraced financier Epstein. Reacting to his post, a social media user asked whether exposing Epstein files ranks high on the priority list of the American Party; Musk responded with a ‘100%’ emoji, signalling his full agreement.
In January 2025, the inseparable Trump & Musk danced together at the New Year’s party after the Republican leader won the presidential elections. Trump also made Musk chief of ‘DOGE’–the Department of Government Efficiency. However, a few months after that, the first big stunner came – Trump announced the “Big Beautiful Bill”, which ruined their relationship.
