You may or may not know that the last video posted to Charlie’s IG account before his murder was a clip of him arguing against abortion to a college student. After his death, Kristin took to the comments section of this particular post to pay tribute to him.
“I’m. So. Upset.,” she wrote. “Didn’t always agree but appreciated some perspectives. What a heartbreak. His young family. I know where he is now. Heaven. But still.”
As with anything regarding Charlie’s murder, Kristin’s comments kicked up quite a bit of dust online. During a recent interview for NY1, the actor was asked the following question regarding her words: “For members and allies in the LGBTQ+ community, Charlie was a controversial figure. He opposed same-sex marriage, trans rights. What were you hoping to convey with that post?”

“I saw what happened online with my own eyes, and I had a human moment of reflection, just right then,” she said. “I came to understand that my comment hurt some folks. And that hurt me so bad.”
“I would never. It’s no secret that I’m a Christian, that I’m a person with faith. It’s also no secret that I’m an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. And, for some, that doesn’t go together.”
Kristin also went on to add that, for her, she “always will” be both a practicing Christian and an LGBTQ+ ally. So, uh, yeah. There’s that!
