It may be 84 degrees in New York City today, but Ashley Olsen is manifesting cooler weather with her clothing choices. The Row’s CEO was spotted today wearing an outfit befitting the forthcoming autumn equinox. Olsen kept it lowkey and classic in an oversized black long-sleeve tee and a pair of loose blue jeans.
What made this a bona fide Ashley Olsen outfit was her penchant to mix seasons. On top, she was ready for fall, layering a pale green, blue, and beige printed scarf over her long-sleeve. But on her feet, Olsen stayed summery, choosing a pair of black rubber Ama sandals from her own label. She finished her look with a pair of wraparound black sunglasses that covered much of her face, and carried a black alligator Lady bag from The Row. In August 2024, Olsen followed a similar outfit formula for dinner at BondST in NoHo, styling an ankle-length coat with a pair of Row flip-flops.
Call it twin telepathy, but Ashley’s sister, Mary-Kate Olsen, also broke out the summer scarf recently. At the US Open last month, The Row’s creative director cheered from the stands in a white button-up shirt and a black paisley pashmina. While not everyone may be so inclined to add a scarf to their end of summer wardrobe, keep the Olsens in mind as we head into fall for some cool weather outfit inspiration.
