Filmmaker Karan Johar, who has launched several Bollywood actors including Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor and now Ibrahim Ali Khan, has reportedly shown interest in introducing another star kid, Kajol’s daughter Nysa Devgn to the industry. Kajol recently revealed that Johar has indeed reached out regarding Nysa’s potential debut, but emphasized that her daughter has not yet chosen her career path.

In a recent conversation on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, when asked if Karan Johar had ever called Kajol to find out, “Bachche ready hain? She said, “1-2 phone aaye hain. But I think, currently, my daughter is definitely not coming into movies. If she wants to do whatever she wants to do, she will tell us, and we are with her 100 per cent, whatever she chooses.”
Kajol also spoke about her parenting philosophy when it comes to her children Nysa and Yug Devgan. She said, “No, I have never taken any such pressure. I have thought about it, but I think every human being’s life and choices should be their own. So, I feel as a parent, I have done enough parenting to teach them how to make good choices in their life. Now, I have to let them fly.”
Earlier this year, Kajol had addressed the speculation at the Rising Bharat Summit 2025, emphatically stating “Bilkul nai (Absolutely not). No, I think… she has just turned 22… I think she has made up her mind that she won’t be joining films for now.”
The actor also took the opportunity to share advice for aspiring performers. She said, “Firstly, I would like to say, please don’t take advice from everybody. Most importantly, because if you ask people what you should do, then 100 people will stand up and tell you to change your nose, your hands, your hair colour, do this or that.”
On the work front, Kajol was last seen mythological horror film Maa, and she is preparing for The Trial Season 2. She also has a talk show in the works with Twinkle Khanna, titled Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle Khanna.
