Our favourite Summer saga has come to an end. The final episode of The Summer I Turned Pretty got released on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, and fans are not ready to bid goodbye to the comfort series yet. The Prime Video teen romance drama centred around the love triangle of ‘Conrad’, ‘Belly’ and ‘Jeremiah’ and portrayed the complexities of coming-of-age experiences. Episode 11 of season 3 provided a satisfying ending to the stories of all the characters. Amid the buzz around the ‘Belly-Conrad endgame’, here’s what happened to ‘Jeremiah’.
How did ‘Belly’ and ‘Conrad’s story end?
The stories of ‘Belly’ (played by Lola Tung) and ‘Conrad’ (played by Christopher Briney) might have ended in the series; however, their lives together have just begun. The ‘star-crossed lovers’, as ‘Taylor’ (Rain Spencer) likes to call them, have finally found their way back to each other. In the last episode of the series, ‘Conrad’ finally mustered up the courage to stand face-to-face with ‘Belly’ once again. Using his Brussels conference as an excuse, he went to meet ‘Belly’ in Paris and things heated up between them once again, leading to an emotional reconciliation.
Did ‘Jeremiah’ receive a happy ending?
The younger Fisher brother, played by Gavin Casalegno, was also offered an ending that would appease ‘Team Jeremiah’ supporters. ‘Jeremiah’s’ character has been the most debatable part of the show this season. From cheating on ‘Belly’ with ‘Lacy Barone’ during his Cabo trip to ‘Belly’ leaving him shattered after their engagement was called off, his life has been pretty chaotic. His childish behaviour, driven by jealousy over his fiancée’s past relationship with his elder brother, made him the most hated character of the third season.
However, the finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty offered ‘Jeremiah’ a chance at redemption, with a subsequent character development being seen in him. He finally let go of the past and started working towards making his future better. He even visited their Cousins house, the place he detested after his engagement was broken. All this was possible only because of the support of one person, ‘Denise’ (Isabella Briggs). Shocking right? You must be wondering how the girl who kissed ‘Steven’ (Saun Kaufman) at ‘Jeremiah’s’ bachelor party ended up with the latter.
‘Jeremiah’ was all over the place after facing the betrayal from ‘Conrad’ and ‘Belly’. During that time, he needed a place to stay and ‘Denise’ agreed to let him crash for a few weeks. However, that turned into six months, and while living together, they got closer. ‘Denise’ kept him company, offered him words of encouragement and made him feel ‘beautiful’ once again. They confirmed their feelings with a kiss at the dinner party hosted by ‘Jeremiah’ at Cousins. Though ‘Denise’ had to leave for California soon for work, fans hope their budding romance stays intact.
Is it the end of ‘Belly’s’ summer tale?
No, we don’t have to bid adieu to ‘Belly’, ‘Conrad’, ‘Jeremiah’ and the others yet. The showmakers of The Summer I Turned Pretty recently revealed that the series will be extended with a movie. While renewal for season 4 seems unlikely, a movie is here to compensate. Fans who were disappointed by the limited screen time for ‘Belly’ and ‘Conrad’s’ reunion in season 3 might finally get the romantic closure they’re looking for in the film.
