Travis Kelce is down bad.
The Kansas City Chiefs player shared rare details about proposing to his fiancée, Taylor Swift, in a pre-game interview with Erin Andrews on Sunday.
The tight end, 35, revealed to NFL on Fox viewers over the weekend that there were “a few tears here and there” because he is an “emotional guy.”
He quipped, “The palms were definitely sweating.”
“It’s been an exciting ride up to this day,” the Super Bowl winner continued. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”
As for whether he was “rattled” during the milestone moment, Kelce noted that he wanted the pop star, also 35, to be the one to “tell that story.”
The athlete got down on one knee last month, immediately after Swift guested on his and brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.
The couple shared photos from the proposal via Instagram in August.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨,” they captioned the joint reveal at the time.
The “giddy” and “excited” groom-to-be broke his silence on the engagement earlier this month.
“It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with,” Travis told podcast listeners.
He noted that it had been “cool” to refer to Swift as his fiancée when they made their first post-engagement outing.
He went on to share advice for those planning to pop the question, saying, “You gotta know your gal … and you can’t let how somebody else does it make you feel like you gotta do it that way.
“You might be able to get some ideas from how other people did it,” he added. “It might get the creative juices flowing. But know your partner, know who you’re doing it for. Everything else will be beautiful.”
Travis and Swift have been an item since the summer of 2023.
