Disha Patani made her Bollywood debut with the film, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, and later appeared in hit films like Baaghi 2, Malang, Yodha, Radhe, Ek Villain Returns and more. The actress, who is currently in the spotlight for the gunshots fired at her house, had once suffered a head injury during her gymnastic training for the film, Bharat.
Disha Patani lost her memory for six months
While Disha Patani was preparing for Salman Khan’s film, Bharat, she was undergoing gymnastics training as part of her routine when she suffered a severe head injury. The fall caused a major shock, but the aftermath of it was even more shocking. Disha ended up losing her memory for six months. Later, in interviews, Disha revealed that this period is still like a blank slate in her life. In 2022, she was quoted as saying:
“Even if I want to remember, I do not remember anything.”
Disha Patani’s recovery from the tragic injury
Even though, Disha Patani‘s road to recovery wasn’t easy at all, she didn’t let the accident define her and within a short time, she made a powerful comeback. During her recovery phase, Disha often took to her Instagram handle to share updates. Once, she posted an Instagram story, showing herself dipping her feet in cold water and captioned it with a mix of humour and frustration. Her caption said, “Can I be injury-free for a week… Why am I so clumsy.” She also shared another picture of her bandaged leg and captioned it, “Back to some old recovery.”

Salman Khan’s film, Bharat released in 2019, in which Disha Patani had a small but noticeable role. Ali Abbas Zafar’s film followed a man’s life alongside India’s post-independence history. The film managed to earn Rs. 325 crore worldwide. The film starred Disha Patani, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover and more.
In the film, Disha Patani played the role of ‘Radha’, who was a circus artist. In the film, she was seen doing multiple stunts. During the preparation of these stunts, Disha fell and hit her head, which caused the memory loss. She was featured prominently in the energetic song, Slow Motion, which grabbed a lot of views. Despite the injury, the success of Bharat opened several doors for Disha.

After recovering from the head injury and memory loss, Disha made a strong comeback into Bollywood films. She gave powerful performances in films like Ek Villain Returns, Yodha, Malang, Radhe, Kalki 2898 AD and more. Reportedly, some of her upcoming films include, Malang 2, Romeo, and Welcome To The Jungle.

Disha Patani was born on June 13, 1992, in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. She has two siblings, a sister, Khushboo and brother, Suryansh. Disha studied from Amity University, Lucknow, and started her career with modelling. Even though, she keeps her personal life private, she often speaks about her family in interviews.
Apart from this, Disha Patani has grabbed attention for her dating life as well. For years, she was widely linked with her Baaghi 2 co-star, Tiger Shroff. The duo was often snapped together, which sparked dating rumours. However, in 2022, reports claimed that the two have parted ways. Later, Disha was linked to K-pop star, Jackson Wang, but the latter dismissed the rumours.

On September, 12, 2025, around 8-10 shots were fired outside Disha Patani’s Bareilly house. Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident and the family members are safe. Then, Disha’s father came in support of Khushboo and mentioned that her statements were misinterpreted.
