Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino shut down facelift speculation after his new appearance in a TikTok video shocked fans on Wednesday.
The “Jersey Shore” star, 43, posted the video promoting an upcoming book signing and meet-and-greet, but all fans could talk about in the comment section was how different he looked compared to just a few months ago.
“I literally did not recognize this person,” one fan wrote. “He’s gotten a lift on his face,” another speculated.
“This ain’t the situation 😭 this THE PROBLEM… ” another quipped, while another joked, “The Plastication.”
After reading the abundance of comments theorizing over what he had done to his face, the reality star posted another TikTok addressing the rumors on Thursday.
“Alright you guys, apparently we have a situation,” he began his response with dramatic music playing in the background.
“I definitely got a ton of responses thinking I got a facelift or new eyeballs and cheeks from Zimbabwe, which again, I definitely didn’t do that.”
“I did gym, tanning and laundry for nine straight weeks,” he joked before crediting his strict diet that he hasn’t “cheated on” for his new look.
He also responded to a comment on the original post saying he “lost 20 pounds and didn’t show anyone yet,” which is why he looks drastically different.
Some fans were still not convinced by his explanation and continued to guess what work he has gotten done, with one suspicious user writing, “Looks like he got forehead Botox, and eyebrow lift.”
Another fan wrote that they thought he removed his fillers, which Sorrentino seemingly confirmed when he “hearted” the comment.
Others defended the MTV star and pointed out that his fresh look is probably due to his sobriety and healthier lifestyle.
“He looks healthy, happy and he’s making good lifestyle decisions. Nothing is wrong with that,” one wrote.
“It’s so crazy how this guy totally turned his life around by getting sober and so many of you are hating all of him for how he looks,” another added.
Sorrentino got sober in 2015 and later confessed to spending at least $500,000 on his “reckless” drug addiction in November 2023.
“I was into everything. I had everything on me at all times in my Louis Vuitton bag. Everything,” he said at the time.
The father of three exclusively detailed his “door-to-door interventions” with addicts that he began doing after his recovery on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” in September 2024.
“We’re going to be doing interventions and we’re going to be course-correcting addicts’ lives away from active addiction and into recovery,” he shared.
