Last night saw a host of celebrities turn out for the fourth annual Kering Foundation Caring for Women dinner in New York City, putting on their most glamorous gowns. Among them, Lauren Sánchez-Bezos—who seems to be taking red carpet tips from friend and wedding guest Sydney Sweeney.
Sánchez-Bezos stepped out on the red carpet in a dramatic gold Schiaparelli dress, with a stiff, cinched corset and draped bodice that fell into a slinky, silky full skirt. She accessorized with a huge 55 carat diamond pendant necklace and matching teardrop earrings from Samer Halimeh.

It was an evening of dramatic silhouettes, sumptuous fabrics, and elegant tailoring. Dakota Johnson opted for the season’s most naked dress so far by Gucci, while Demi Moore also chose Gucci for full gothic glitter glam.
Sánchez-Bezos has long been a devoted Schiaparelli fan, choosing a sculptural couture look with a similarly reality-defying waist for her first bridal dress at her lavish Venice-set wedding in June. The super-snatched silhouette is a signature Lauren Sánchez-Bezos formula too, of course, from the white corsets of her bachelorette to nights out on the town with husband Jeff Bezos.
But another medieval shape-loving star is Sydney Sweeney, a friend of Sánchez-Bezos and one of her many celebrity wedding guests. Now out promoting her forthcoming film Christy, Sweeney’s suite of cinched gowns include a recent custom Erdem dress with a boned bodice and tulip appliqués, a custom butter yellow gown by bridal designer Danielle Frankel, and a nipped-in Wiederhoeft silver dress with a teeny waist and low-slung belt to modernize the princessy look.
