Karanvir Sharma has gradually earned recognition as a versatile actor, navigating seamlessly across films, television, and digital platforms. In the much-anticipated The Trial Season 2, he takes on a new and impactful role that pushes his boundaries as a performer. This season also marks his first collaboration with filmmaker Umesh Bist — an experience Karanvir described as both creatively fulfilling and personally inspiring.

Speaking about working under Bist’s direction, Karanvir shared, “He is very experienced. He has a clear vision and knows exactly what he wants. He’s an actor’s director for sure. He communicates in a way that helps the actor truly understand the character — sometimes directly, sometimes indirectly — but always effectively.” Karanvir credited the director for building his confidence during the shoot. “He once told me, ‘There is a hero in every film. In your film, in Param Munjal’s film, you are the hero. So you will get the confidence.’ That really stayed with me,” he recalled.
Reflecting on the process, Karanvir also pointed out the valuable lessons he took from the experience. “The most important thing I learnt from him was to really know your lines. That was his main brief. And the second thing he told me was — don’t take it too seriously. Work with all your heart, and forget that you’re acting alongside such talented and experienced actors. Just focus on being yourself,” he said.
With his role in The Trial Season 2, Karanvir not only explores a layered character but also carries forward the wisdom and encouragement he received on set.
