There Are 15 Designer Debuts This Season. The Big Reshuffle Is Here to Help You Make Sense of Them All

The spring 2026 collections have barely gotten underway, but we already know it will be a season unlike any other. After what felt like an eternal stream of comings-and-goings, now is the moment for these freshly appointed creative directors to strut their stuff. In a month’s time, we will have seen debuts from 15 different labels. Who are these designers behind the brands? How will they reshape fashion? And why should you care?

Welcome to The Big Reshuffle, where Vogue Runway Global Director Nicole Phelps breaks down the season’s key players, and offers a guide to the season ahead with the help of fellow editors Laia Garcia-Furtado and José Criales-Unzueta, and a special dispatch from Stylenotcom’s Beka Gvishiani.

First, Criales-Unzueta unpacks the reasons behind the dizzying number of designer swaps at the top luxury brands and asks the all-important question: Can talents who changed fashion once be expected to do so again? Gvishiani offers his first-hand account of the three debuts that took place this summer—Jonathan Anderon’s first menswear collection at Dior, Michael Rider’s menswear (but co-ed) collection at Celine, and Glenn Martens’s couture collection for Maison Margiela Artisanal. Finally, Garcia-Furtado shares some predictions for how all these switches will actually impact the way we dress. Why is American prep a thing again? Will skinny jeans really, definitively come back? And which designer is most likely to transform the look of now? Tune in below to find out.
